After the impressive visit to the museum, you will be taken to The Citadel of Saladin. This fort was built in 1173 to protect the city of Cairo against the Crusaders. The walls and towers of the citadel are still in place.A lot of structures were built inside the citadel but the main attraction is the alabaster mosque or Mohamed Ali mosque. Mohamed Ali (1805-1849) ordered to build this magnificent mosque which is similar to the design of the blue mosque in Istanbul.Accompanied by your guide, you will learn about the basic elements of the mosque and the main principles of the Islamic religion. Both the mosque and the citadel were built on an elevated hill,so you have a great chance to have a wonderful view over the city including the old and the modern parts.
The third sightseeing is Khan El Khalili bazaar.Explore one of the oldest bazaars in the middle east.it is an interesting, lively and busy place where you can try your bargaining skills. You will be invited by our company to have a local drink on one of the oldest coffee shops in Cairo the end of your tour you will be driven back to your hotel.
